What steps does Magento migration include?

Does Cart2Cart support Magento multi-store migration?
Yes, the Magento migration service provides a possibility to perform multi-store migration for Magento. Despite the standard benefits, transfer of related products, up-sell and cross-sell products, bundle and grouped products is available.

Does the migration influence the speed of Magento store?
No, the database transfer doesn’t influence the speed of your store. Have a look at the FAQ to find out the possible reasons for this issue.

Do you support transfer of invoices and payment methods?
Unfortunately, Cart2Cart doesn’t provide migration of invoice and payment methods as they are directly connected with particular shopping cart functionality.

Do you move passwords of registered users?
Yes, we do provide transfers of customer passwords but only for migrations among different Magento versions. However, this option is not yet available for all the upgrades and requires the usage of md5 password encoding on both Source and Target Magento platforms. Check this FAQ for more details.

Do you provide SEO migration?
For Magento migrations, you can use an additional option “Migrate categories and products SEO URLs.” URLs can be moved within Magento, OpenCart, CS-Cart, PrestaShop, VirtueMart 2, WooCommerce, and osCommerce (migration from only). Click here for more details.

Is option of preserving product, order and customer IDs available for Magento migration?
Yes, it is. You can use this option as an additional one. However, be attentive that when selecting the option “Preserve Order IDs,” all previous orders will be migrated to ensure the proper system functioning.

Can Cart2Cart migrate 301 SEO URLs to my Magento store?
Currently, it is only possible to migrate 301 Redirects between products to and from the Magento platform.
